Laoise Kelly - Born in Westport in Co. Mayo,
Laoise, is acknowledged as one of Ireland’s most acclaimed traditional harpers.

Three times All-Ireland Harp Champion, she has won many competitions including the O’Carolan
Harp Festival and the Belfast Bicentennial Harp Festival competition, which commemorated the great Harp Festival of 1792 (awarded
by Derek Bell/The Chieftains, “The triplets she played were made in heaven”).
Throughout her solo career she has recorded with many of Ireland’s foremost artists including Sinéad
O’Connor, The Chieftains, Kate Bush, Dónal Lunny, Sharon Shannon, Míchéal Ó
Suilleabháin, Altan, Davy Spillane, and countless others. Her ground-breaking solo album ‘Just Harp’ established
her as “the most important harper currently playing”
