Niall Teague is a singer song writer from Belfast now based in Galway with his ramshackle roots ensemble, The Fast Company. The Fast Company features some of Galway's best talent on flute, fliddle, bodhran, guitars, mandolin, vocals and double bass. Niall and song writing partner Padraic Joyce have been making headway since winning the 2018 pan celtic song competition with their release ‘Ar Saoire’. Their latest album ‘Big Red Bridge’ is a collection of songs and instrumentals which pull from American and Irish folk, roots and country music. The all original material includes murder ballads, folk ballads and Americana style songs drawing influences from Galway, the west of Ireland and beyond.
The opening track ‘Poor boy’ was described by Mike Harding as “a cracking song” while instrumental track ‘uncertain seas’ was listed as The Galway Advertisers best new instrumental track of 2018.
