What the artists say Dublins best folk and traditional music venue. The Cherrytree,
Walkinstown Cross, Dublin 12. Here what the artists say. "A wonderful little
venue! Good sound, great atmosphere, lovely people. You couldn't ask for more. Hope to be back as soon as possible!"
Andy Irvine (Planxty, Patrick Street, Sweeney's Men) "A refreshingly intimate venue with a
fantastic sound system. It's a joy to play in." The Sick and Indigent Song Club "I've enjoyed playing at the Cherrytree, it has a warmth of atmosphere that appears in the sound too.
Sonny Condell (Scullion, Tir na nOg, Radar) "Really enjoyed playing the Cherrytree....and the
crowd were just great...Will be back for more" Luan Parle "Great to see a venue
supporting up and coming artists as well as us old beardies. Really enjoyed my gig there. Lovely room, nice PA, lights and friendly
people. Charlie mc Gettigan "The cherrytree has a reminisant
vibe haunting back to a backstreet jazz club. Set in a cadlelit atomspheric environment, it has the potential to be one of Dublins
funky-IST venues, easily one of my favourite places to play. A well run establishment." Linda
Coogan "It's a venue that's just made for listening to music, so it's a venue that makes
you want to play when you get up on the stage. The sound and the soundman was as good as any and there's a great feeling to the
room. No bullshit music bleeding through the walls from the joint next door, nice and dark with candles on the tables, and a great
bartender. When I played it, Paul Lee was just starting it up. I left that night with big hopes that he can get this thing going.
This is a class venue setting for people to come and listen to live music. Good luck to The Cherrytree and everyone
involved." Eric Taylor |
